RecreTec Steel Raft Frames are made of 1" x .065 steel tube. Recretec steel must pass rigorous engineered specs in many categories tensile strength being the most important. Since our steel is top grade we are able to use a slightly smaller outside diameter and a slightly thicker wall that is the exact same weight per foot as the EMT conduit yet much stronger! We then powder coat ALL of our frames in house to not only protect from the elements but provide a much more aesthetically pleasing frame then that unsightly old conduit.
