If you are replacing a military valve most likely the fabric is Hypalon. Some of the screw patterns do not match up with the new valves. If this is the case you will need to replace the valve boot. If stainless screws were not used in the beginning your screw holes will be full of rust and the thread holes damaged making them not very usable with the new valve. We suggest you replace to the old military valve with a new C-7 Leafield valve and boot.
