Aire combined the Sea Tiger I & II models into one. Still the ultimate in a traveling touring kayak, the Sea Tiger has been modified to accommodate an option for a solo boater or tandem couple. The Sea Tiger boasts a new design with a faster hull: an increased V-hull for better tracking. It still has adjustable seats and plenty of cargo tie downs. The stability for fishing, snorkeling or scuba diving is better than ever.
Have you ever had the yearning to take your kayak to a far away tropical place but couldn't convince an airline that a 17' fiberglass kayak was carry on luggage? The Sea Tiger is the cure for what ails you. The Sea Tiger is a fast, stable, expedition quality sea kayak. AIRE offers the Sea Tiger in an 18' model and four colors. The Sea Tiger is stable and is easy to right in case of a flip. You can even get back in without having to roll it. The self-bailing floor eliminates the need for hard-to-use bilge pumps. The full length V-hull and full rudder assembly makes for excellent tracking. Attachment points allow for optional storage bags to tie in gear in the bow and stern . At AIRE stories like this are common. The Sea Tiger II is at home on 1500-mile treks across New Guinea and being towed behind sailboats in the Caribbean. The Sea Tiger II can easily be paddled solo with plenty of cargo space. Sea Tigers even make a perfect platform for diving. They have plenty of room for gear and are easy to climb onto. The extra bonus is surfing you and your gear back to shore.
In a recent excursion to Stanley Lake, my wife, my 75 lb. Siberian Husky and I decided we needed to go kayaking. The three of us, 4 days worth of camping gear and the Sea Tiger II all fit in our Honda Accord. The second day the three of us packed a lunch and headed for the other side of the lake. There we cut firewood for the next three days and loaded it onto the boat. We then noticed a breeze and used a ground cloth strapped to paddles for a sail. We reached the end of the lake in no time and realized we would have to paddle upwind through chop back to our campsite. On our way, we passed two fiberglass canoes, one inflatable kayak (unknown manufacturer) and two plastic touring kayaks. A good portion of that afternoon was spent answering questions from neighboring campers about our Sea Tiger. They could not believe a fully loaded inflatable kayak could not only pass the five other unloaded boats but also folded up and fit in our Honda.
